ELECTRICAL AND BATTERY LAW

ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT ACT (ELEKTROG)

We comply with the obligations pursuant to the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (Elektrogesetz – ElektroG) and would like to draw your attention to the following:

Waste electrical and electronic devices must not be treated as normal household waste. They contain valuable raw materials that are harmful to the environment, but can be recycled. As a consumer, you are legally obligated to return waste electrical and electronic devices to a suitable commercial or municipal collection point.

Due to the type of rechargeable batteries used, rechargeable batteries built into BLACKROLL electrical and electronic devices cannot be safely removed. Therefore, BLACKROLL waste electrical and electronic devices should only be disposed of through public waste management entities, where they can be separated from other waste electrical and electronic devices for the purpose of preparing them for recycling.

BATTERY ACT (BATTG)

We comply with the obligations pursuant to the German Battery Act (Batteriegesetz – BattG) and would like to draw your attention to the following:

Used batteries must not be treated as normal household waste. Batteries contain valuable raw materials that are harmful to the environment, but can be recycled. As a consumer, you are legally obligated to return used batteries to a suitable commercial or municipal collection point.

Since we do not distribute batteries unless they are integrated into our electrical and electronic devices, we are under no legal obligation to accept the return of used batteries. We, therefore, ask you not to return any batteries to us. Please note: there are specific rules and regulations for the transport of hazardous goods that need to be complied with when transporting lithium and rechargeable batteries.

The wheel bin symbol

means: Regular and rechargeable batteries must not be treated as normal household waste.

The harmful substance is shown in the icon, e.g., Pb stands for lead, Hg for mercury, or Cd for cadmium.

  • Pb = battery contains lead,
  • Cd = battery contains cadmium,
  • Hg = battery contains mercury
